1. Scope
This policy covers OtterExtensions websites, landing pages, support communications, paid upgrade flows, and
Chrome extensions published by EspinalLab, LLC. Individual extensions may also include product-specific
privacy notes when a feature needs more detail.
Current OtterExtensions products include:
- OtterPage: a Chrome extension for full-page screenshots, annotation, redaction,
branding, and export workflows.
- Real Estate Image Downloader: a Chrome extension for downloading listing photos and
videos and exporting listing media details.
2. Information We Handle
Extension content
Extensions may read page content, page metadata, screenshots, image URLs, video URLs, dimensions,
filenames, or similar data from pages you actively use the extension on so the requested feature can
work.
Settings and preferences
Extensions may store local settings such as export preferences, brand-kit choices, license status,
custom labels, or similar configuration data using Chrome storage or local browser storage.
Support messages
If you contact us, we receive the email address and information you include in your message so we can
respond and provide support.
Payment and license data
If you buy a paid upgrade, payment and licensing providers may process your email address, payment
status, transaction identifiers, and related records. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
Website operation data
Our hosting, security, or infrastructure providers may process standard technical information such as
IP address, browser type, device data, request URLs, and timestamps to operate and secure the website.
Future extension data
New extensions may handle additional page or workflow data only as needed for their disclosed product
purpose. Product pages will describe meaningful differences when they apply.
3. How We Use Information
We use information only for practical product and business purposes, including to:
- provide the extension features you choose to use;
- capture, process, download, copy, or export content when you request it;
- remember extension settings and preferences;
- verify paid upgrades and license status;
- respond to support requests;
- maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve our websites and extensions;
- comply with legal, payment, tax, accounting, and security obligations.
4. Local-First Extension Processing
Our extensions are designed around local browser workflows. For example, screenshot content, page media
links, listing details, edits, and exports are processed in your browser so the extension can complete the
task you started.
Information leaves your browser only when you choose to export, download, copy, upload, share, purchase,
contact support, or otherwise take an action that sends information outside the extension.
5. Payments and Stripe
Paid upgrades may be processed through Stripe and, depending on the extension, a licensing or checkout
provider such as ExtensionPay. These providers process payment information under their own privacy policies
and security practices.
We do not receive or store your full credit card number, debit card number, CVC, or bank account details.
We may receive limited information needed to confirm a purchase, manage a license, provide support, keep
business records, or handle refunds and disputes.
6. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share information only with:
- payment and licensing providers, including Stripe, to process payments and manage paid
access;
- hosting and infrastructure providers that help operate and secure our websites;
- support and business service providers that help us respond to requests or maintain
records;
- legal, safety, or compliance recipients when required to comply with law, enforce
terms, prevent abuse, or protect rights and security.
7. What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not use extension content for advertising profiles.
- We do not collect full payment card numbers.
- We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information unless you choose to include it in a page
or file that you process with an extension.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Chrome Permissions
Each extension requests Chrome permissions needed for its disclosed purpose. Permissions may include access
to active tabs, specific websites, downloads, storage, scripting, or context menus. We use those permissions
to provide the extension features described on the applicable product page and Chrome Web Store listing.
9. Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Our use of information received from Google APIs and Chrome extension permissions will adhere to the Chrome
Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our static marketing pages do not currently require account cookies. Payment providers, checkout pages, or
embedded third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies. If we
add analytics, account features, or marketing cookies in the future, we will update this policy as needed.
11. Data Retention
Extension content handled locally is generally retained only as long as needed for the feature you are
using, unless you save, download, export, or store it yourself. Settings remain until you clear browser
storage, reset the extension, or uninstall it.
Support emails, payment records, license records, and business records may be retained as long as needed to
provide support, maintain licenses, comply with legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and
protect our services.
12. Your Choices
- You choose when to run an extension workflow.
- You choose when to download, copy, export, or share content.
- You can clear extension settings through Chrome storage controls, extension reset options, or by
uninstalling the extension.
- You can contact us to request help accessing, correcting, or deleting support or purchase-related
information we can reasonably control.
13. International Users
OtterExtensions is operated from the United States. If you use our websites or extensions from outside the
United States, information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our providers
operate.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when our extensions, website, payment flows, legal obligations, or business
practices change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
